Thalay La Trek

The Thalay La Trek, located in the Karakoram Mountains of Pakistan in between Shigar and Khaplu valley, offers a pleasing trekking experience with its relatively easy terrain and stunning mountain vistas.

DAY 1 –

• Departure From Islamabad to Skardu flight. 
• Reached Skardu 
• Pickup and Hotel Transfer
• Night stay at Skardu.

DAY 2 –

• Drive from Skardu or Kharfaq (2:30 Hrs)
• Kharfaq is a small village with a population of about 2,000 people in Ghanche District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The village is located 3 hours away from Kharfaq Lake, a lake famous for its large trout population.
• Relish the Kharfaq Lake

(Kharfaq Lake is a high-altitude natural lake located in the Karakoram Mountain range in Kharfaq, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The best month for tourist to see the lake is the July and August.)

• Trek towards Moses Peak 
• Relish the Moses peak view and Surrounding
• Back to Khaplu
• Night Stay at khaplu.

DAY 3 –

• Breakfast
• Discover and relish the Khaplu valley
• Drive towards the mosque is also known as Thoksikhar
• Reached its base
• Hike upwards 40 min
• Reached Thoksikhar
• Relish the time
• Back and Drive towards Saling
• Relish the full day activity
• Back to Khaplu 
• Night stay at Khaplu.

DAY 4 –

• Breakfast
• Trek to Thalay La

(By trekking two hours we will be at the top of the Thalay La (4572 M). Masherbrum range and Mango Gusor (6288 m) can be seen from top. The view is fantastic and majestic.)

• After a short stay, we will start trekking towards Deserpa, which is an ideal campsite and summer pasture.
• Relish the Thalay la Natural Tranquility
•  Overnight in the tents.

DAY 5 –

• Trek down to Khaplu 
• Relish the time at Khaplu and Drive towards Skardu
• Reached Skardu
• Night stay at Skardu

DAY 6 –

• Breakfast
• Drive towards Skardu international Airport
• Reached Airport
• Departure from Skardu to Islamabad.
