Quetta lies at the mouth of the Bolan Pass and being the natural fort, it connects Pakistan with Afghanistan and Iran both commercially and socially. This city is surrounded by rigid, hard pastures and hills, all these Chiltan, Zarghoon, Takatoo and Mourdar hills share the toughness of this region. Quetta is blessed with beautiful seasons all round year and there is a great chance to enjoy snowfall there during 3-4 months, mostly from December till March.
Day 1:
Deep inside the dry, biscuit-colored mountains surrounding Quetta lies an unexpected treasure: a honeycomb of tunnels bursting with cases of Holy Qurans, hidden safe from desecration.
The hill known as Jabal-e-Noor, or “Mountain of Light”, has been visited by hundreds of thousands of people since two brothers turned it into a shrine for Islam’s holy book, some copies of which are up to 600 years old, officials who run it say.
Miri fort is a quintessential historical monument of Quetta that has withstood the test of time. It is one of Quettaโs most important places in terms of historical and archaeological value. The fort was built by the Hindu rulers who once ruled this region, and it served as their stronghold and palace. The structure of the Miri fort is quite imposing, and its walls still bear testimony to the grandeur of those times.

The Hanna Lake was inbuilt in 1894 amid land colonial amount on the place that’s famous for close tribe members and is one in all the primary attractions within the town and a fantastic recorded extension divider between two mountains the profundities like towers of a fortification for putt away of water. There are lakeside restaurants and shady pine trees under which the people enjoy food and see the awesome views of the lake. The lake also has some family huts, an army guest house, and kids’ play areas. Visitors can easily take a boat ride to wander around the small island situated in the middle of Hanna Lake.

Ziarat is famous for being the second largest Juniper Forest in the world. It is a favorite point for local visitors to Quetta, as it is just 2 hoursโ drive away from Quetta. Ziarat was the summer residence of the chief commissioner of Baluchistan, and sanatorium for the European troops at Quetta. Ziarat is surrounded by the lush green Ziarat Juniper Forest, known locally as Sanober, home to the largest area of Juniper Forest (Juniperus seravschanica) in Pakistan, covering about 110,000 hectares. The juniper trees of Ziarat are one of the oldest trees of their kind with some of these trees being 4000 years old. The indigenous tribes are primarily Kakar and Tareen (including Raisani).
Quaid-e-Azam Residency, also known as Ziarat Residency, is located in Ziarat, Baluchistan, Pakistan. It is where Muhammad Ali Jinnah spent the penultimate month of his life, nursed by A. S. Nathaniel. It is the most famous landmark of the city, constructed in 1892 during the British Raj
The Ziarat area is home to the largest area of juniper forest (Juniperus excelsa polycarpus) in Pakistan, covering about 110 000 ha., and is believed to be the second largest of its kind in the world. The junipers of Ziarat are among the oldest living trees in the world. Although no dendrological study has yet been conducted, according to one estimate mature trees are often thousands of years old. Local people refer to the trees as โliving fossilsโ and this remarkable longevity allows research into past weather conditions in the region, making the species of special significance for climate change and ecological studies.
It is 6 kilometres from Ziarat and is located at a height of 2713 meters above sea level. With the wind howling through the trees, the valley stretches out in front of you in undulating hills. The tallest peak of these hills, known as Khilafat, which reaches a height of 3487 meters, may be seen clearly from a neighboring cliff. Nearby, there’s a little rest stop. Reservations can be made in advance at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Ziarat.
It is a beautiful waterfall that flows down the rocks and gives visitors a wonderful experience
