Faisalabad isย one of Pakistan’s wealthiest and most industrialized cities, the largest industrial hub, and the second largest city of the wider Punjab region. Historically one of the largest villages of Punjab, Lyallpur was one of the first planned cities within British India.
Faisalabad is also called Manchester of Pakistan due to its textile importance in Pakistan. The city isย known for its colonial heritage and its roots tracing back to the rule of the British Empire.
Faisalabad (Formerly Lyallpur) is a road and railway junction, which lies in an area watered by the Lower Chenab Canal. Cotton, wheat, vegetables, and fruits are grown there and the city is also an industrial midpoint with railway-repair yards, engineering works, and mills that process sugar, flour, and oil seed. The Faisalabad Clock Tower, formerly known as the Lyallpur Clock Tower, is a clock tower in Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan, and is one of the oldest monuments still standing in its original state from the period of the British Raj. It was built in 1905 by the British, when they ruled much of South Asia during the early 20th century.
The Gumti Water Fountain is a monument in Faisalabad, Pakistan preserved from the British Raj era. It was built during the early nineteenth century and was a general meeting place of the city folk for local town meetings
It is a Spacious, landscaped outdoor space with a playground & paved walkway, plus a historic monument. This park is named over the pioneer of Pakistan; Quaid e Azam. Before they were calling it Company Bagh too. It contains a Bara dari (12 Sides), kidsโ zone and more. Very calm and quite environment. Govt. installed and old warjet in the front of the park for attraction to the public. Near the plane, a well-known fruit chart shop is there for entertainment.

Lyallpur Museum is a heritage museum in Faisalabad, Pakistan (the old and original name for the city of Faisalabad is Lyallpur). It has 10 galleries which show the ancient and modern history and culture of Lyallpur/Faisalabad. It was established in 2011 by then Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif, following a proposal from Aamer Sarfraz. It has a Board of Governors now headed by the Commissioner, Faisalabad Division.

D Ground is the main commercial area in Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan. D ground was conceived in mid-1950s by the then-government of West Pakistan. With the passage of time government decided convert the barren land 5 km northeast of the city center into a modern residential area, named Peoples Colony. D Ground was designed to be the central market of this colony. D Ground is home to many branded stores and shopping malls. It is also known as the hub of the contemporary fashion and cuisine industry in Faisalabad.
Another food item that is also considered a specialty of Faisalabad isย Dahi bhale. A number of Gol gappay carts can be found around the city. Biryani and pulao are also very well-known. Moreover, no city can boast of a better Dal Chawal serving than Faisalabad.
